Candles/Stones

Candles are used in many aspects of Wiccan Magick. Though there is no distinct patterns of colors used for certain spells, these are the ones we use personally. If you don't have any colors, then use white. It can be used for any purpose at all.

To charge a candle, just hold it between your hands and send all of your personal energy into it while concentrating on the specific use you want that candle to create.

You should always light candles using matches, not a lighter, and they should be extinguished by snuffing, not blown out.

Do not leave unattended candles burning, but if you must, burn them in a sink or bathtub.

Do not re-use partially burned candles for another spell, always begin with a new candle.

Red: passion, strength, health, vigor, courage, energy

Blue: calmness, health, tranquility, wisdom, creativity, patience

Green: finance, prosperity, fertility, luck, growth, physical healing

Yellow/Gold: attraction, persuasion, divination, intelligence

Pink: friendship, honor, love, morality, peace, nurturing

Purple: spiritual power, psychic ability, ambition, third eye,

Black: protection, repelling, binding, absorption

Silver: divination, astral protection, Goddess candle

Stones are first charged with energy in the same way as candles. They may be used during magick or carried with you as the need may be.

Fire Agate- low self-esteem and difficulty centering

Amber- memory loss, anxiety, decision making

Amethyst- headaches, edginess, facilitates healing, inner peace,

Adventurine- positive attitude, creative insight

Clear quartz-transmitter of healing energy, balancer, channeler

Emerald- transmits balance, healing and patience

Hematite-self esteem, aids in astral projection

Lapiz- energy focus, eliminates negative emotions

Moonstone- soothes and balances the emotions, encourges inner growth

Obsidian- protection from abuse, stabilizer

Onyx- Objective thinking, spiritual inspiration, apathy, stress

Opal- depression, apathy, lethargy, intuition, joy

Peridot- protects against nervousness, alleviates fear, aids in

Rhyolite- balances emotions, self worth, enhances capacity to love

Rose Quartz- Love and self acceptance healer for emotional

Ruby- balances love and all spiritual endeavors

Smoky quartz- cleanses and protects astral field, grounding

Sodolite- oversensitivity, awakens third eye, cleanses the mind

Tiger eye- mind focus, psychic vision, grounding

Tourmeline- dispels fears, negativity and grief, calms nerves

Turquoise- master healer, protects against enviornmental pollutants.
