Spells 
Setting up your Altar
Altars can be set up anywhere. This consists of a pentacle,
and salt or earth set to the North. A censor or incense holder
set up in the East. Candles to the South, and a bowl of water
to the West. These represent Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Spell materials are put in the front.
A white, green, or silver candle on the left represents the Goddess
and a red, yellow or gold candle to the right represents the God.
Make sure all your needed
materials ( such as candles, incense, stones, etc.) are within
reach before creating your circle.
The Magick Circle
First purify the area for your circle with salt.
Stand facing East and build up energy within yourself.
Now by using your hand, palm down, or a wand, slowly
walk a clockwise circle, keeping the altar within the circle.
Feel your energy erecting your circle.
You may then want to ask the four quarters to join you in
your magick.
Last, call upon the Goddess and/or God to be with you.
Perform any magick at this time. When you are done,
thank the Goddess and God for being with you and close
the circle by walking around it counter-clockwise absorbing
its energy.
Ritual tools are then put away. The altar may stay up or be
put away; it is your choice.
The God candle is snuffed out and last the Goddess candle.
You may want to eat and drink something then to dispel the
extra energy you absorbed.
Simple Candle Spell
With a charged quartz, scratch a symbol of your need into
the appropriate candle. As you do this, visualize your need
into it as if it has already come to be. Set the candle in the
holder and the quartz next to it. Light the wick with a match.
As it burns, strongly visualize. The candle and quartz will
do the work. Meditate a few minutes on your need.
Let the candle burn out by itself. A small, colored tapered
candle is recommended for this spell.
House Blessing Spell
Materials:
Blue candle, quartz crystal, obsidian stones (protection), rose quartz (dispels anger and tension), Rosemary (calming herb)
Preparaton of altar is not needed for this spell
Begin at the center of the home. Walk through all the rooms
holding the lit blue candle while asking the Goddess and God
to bless your home and keep it safe. Return to the center of
the home. With the rosemary, again walk through the rooms
sprinkling the herb while asking the Goddess and God to allow
your home to be filled with peace. Place the rose quartz in the
center of the home and the obsidians above or near every doorway
into the home. Finally, thank the Goddess and God for their presence.
Protection Spell
Materials:
Charged red or white candle, quartz (charged with your need),
Basil, dill and sage, small bowl
Set up your altar and create your Magick Circle
While concentrating on your need, light the candle. Place
the quartz in front of the candle. Sprinkle the herbs in a bowl
and place on altar.
While sitting in front of the flame, you may want to say these
words, or create your own:
Charge this spell in the fire
Growing stronger, ever higher
Cast it in the glowing flame
That none shall come to hurt or maim
Continue to concentrate on this for a while longer.
When you are done, thank the Goddess and God. Snuff the
candle and close the circle. The herbs and stone may be put
in a small sac and carried with you.
Travel Spell
Materials:
3 charged candles: white (protection), blue (calmness&health), purple (power),
amber or adventurine stone, piece of paper
with your destinination written on it. Sandlewood incense
Set up your altar. Place the three candles on it with the white
one in the middle and the paper under it. Light the incense and
cast the circle.
Light the candles while concentrating on what you want them
to do. Call upon the Goddess and God to be with you. Then recite:
I come to you in perfect trust
My love for you is pure and just
I ask protection through my travels
By the powers of 3x3, let it be
While holding the stones, charge them with the energy of your need:
With these stones, I take with me
Protect me now by air or sea
By the powers of 3x3
I cast this spell, so mote it be
Thank the Goddess and God for their help and close the circle.
Allow the candles to burn out (in a safe place). Take the stones
with you on your trip.
Calming Spell
Materials:
Amethyst and moonstones are good for this spell
Calming music
Listening to quiet music (preferably outdoors if possible),
is essential. Sit quietly and breathe deeply. Inhaling and
exhaling slowly whle holding the stones. Breathe all your
tension and anxiety in the stones. When you feel calm and
centered, bury the stones in the earth to dissipate all the negative
energy where it will be grounded. Then go for a walk or do
something for yourself. In a couple of days the stones can be
retrieved to be used again at another time.
Employment Spell
Materials:
Adventurine stone, green charged candle
Set up your altar and light the candle. While holding the stone,
gaze into the flame, concentrating on the kind of job you would
like to have. (Don't be specific on the job or place, just the
kind of job). Put your energy into the stone. After meditating
on this for while, stand up and snuff out the candle. Take the
stone with you as you go on job interviews. Feel it's positive energy.
Spell for Grief or Saddness
Materials:
Objects that have to do with why you are grieving or sad.
(Such as a picture or belonging of a loved one), soothing incense,
blue candle (calming)
Set up your altar, cast your circle and charge the candle.
Light the incense and candle. Sit quietly in front of the altar while
holding the objects you brought with you. Ask the Mother Goddess
to hold you in her arms as you state why you are feeling this way.
Allow her to rock you in her arms until your grief subsides.
Thank Her for being with you. Close the circle and snuff the candles.
Money Spell
Materials:
Green candle, piece of paper (to write on), green ink pen or
green pencil, heat proof bowl, cinnamon and sage incense
Set up altar and cast your circle. Light the Goddess and God
candles. Light the incense. Call the Goddess and God to join
you by saying:
I call upon the Goddess and God
I call upon the powers of Earth, Air, Fire & Water
Light the green candle saying:
Bring me the power with your light
Source of all that's good and right
Draw a picture of your need or bill to be paid on the paper. Say:
Send to me the funds with speed
No more, no less, to fill my need
Now light the paper from the green candle and drop it in the
bowl to burn to ash. Thank the Goddess and God for helping you.
Close the circle and snuff out the candles.
Bury the burnt ash in the earth.
Changing Spell
This spell is for changes within yourself. Spells are never done
to change another person!
Materials:
4 or 5 inch taper in the color of your need, cotton thread or
string same color as the candle. Be sure to set the candle in a
heat proof cantainer before starting.
Charge candle with your energy, then light it. Hold the thread
taut with both hands visualizing the changes you'd like to see
in yourself. Wrap the string around the candle about half
way down. Now tie a knot saying:
The knot is tied
The change abide
State the change you are making. Continue to do this until
you've stated all the changes you want to see in yourself.
Let the candle burn down and burn the string. It is done.
Spell to Bring Love
Remember! Love spells are never done to bring a specific person to you!
Materials:
Pink candle, heat proof container, pink thread, cinnamon stick,
small- square piece of paper.
Charge the candle by saying:
Love from the Air
Love from the Earth
Love from the Sun
Love from the Seas
Hasten your journey
Bring love to me
Light the candle. Take the cinnamon and hold it over the flame
until it ignites,. Put it in the container and let it smolder.
Take the paper and draw 3 hearts, all within each other,
with the charred end of the cinnamon. Lay the paper in front
of the candle again saying the same chant as above. When the
cinnamon is cool, wrap it in the paper and tie it with the thread.
Carry it with you until your need is met. Snuff the candle.
